The buds have reached their ultimate potential, opening up in a vibrant display of celebration. The painted landscape makes eating al fresco and laying in the grass all the more enjoyable. So, to mark the occasion—we are draping floral fabric across our bodies and strapping it up on our feet. Floral patterns have been all over the catwalks, but they’re not just for the svelte models of fashion week. Men of all ages and sizes can work the flowers into their wardrobe.

Florals of 2014 are a subdued version of the Hawaiians of the past. Let’s get it right: florals are in, the tacky oversized Hawaiian button ups are not. There are so many ways to take advantage of the great patterns, from laid back to dressed up. Finally, a chance for men to work some eccentricity into their styles. Below are some tips for growing your new floral look.

 

1. Wear it fitted
