10 Aug What’s Up With Ear Hair?
Do you remember the first time you looked in the mirror and thought, ‘Hey my hairstylist forgot to cut this strand of hair around my ear’? So you try to get rid of it. But when you come to pull it off, you think ‘Wow this is long.’ It was then that you realized, nose hair’s shadier cousin has just confronted you: ear hair.
The options for removing ear hair are similar to those of nose hair – with one big added problem. With nose hair, it’s pretty easy to see what you’re doing. But unless you rig some Rube Goldberg-style mirror contraption, you’re tackling that ear hair pretty much blind. You don’t want to be poking a pair of steel blades near your eardrum without some sort of visual, so that eliminates scissors as a trimming option. Depilatory creams are tricky to use, and laser treatment can be an expensive and time-consuming process.
Fortunately, some brilliant mind with an engineering degree has already come up with a solution: an ear hair trimmer. You can get a decent one online or at your local pharmacy and they’re very inexpensive.
PRZ TIP:
Everyone always asks why hair starts to grow thicker on their ears. It used to be an age thing, but now you see people in their 30s with ear hair. As men grow older, the follicles in the ear and nose area become more prone to testosterone, which produces more abundant hairs in these areas.
