As dudes, we touch our junk all the time. But if you notice that you’re doing it more often than usual because you have one hell of an itch down there, you might have a case of jock itch.
Jock itch is a fungal infection in your groin area and it’s actually a form of ringworm. No, you don’t have worms on your balls. But, you do have an infection on the outer layer of your hair.
- If you sweat a lot, you’re at risk. Jock itch is caused by the bacteria dermatophytes, which also causes athlete’s foot.
- Jock itch is very contagious. Don’t share towels and always make sure they are clean.
- What’s even more disgusting is that the bacteria can spread to other parts of your body, like your legs, feet and butt.
- If you don’t treat jock itch it can turn into raised, red patches that will blister and ooze. Get it taken care of.
PRZ TIP:
Make sure you have clean underwear. Be careful if you’re cycling on a seat that’s sweaty because this kind of stuff can be transferred. Make sure you wash your underwear, sporting cup, and all the other stuff that is in contact with that area.
