Did you know one of the first things people notice about you, after your eyes, are your hands?

Take a look at your hands. Could your mitts use some loving? Chances are your cuticles are dry, you’ve got hang nails, and your nails are uneven and dirty. Oh, and you may have a disgusting nail biting habit.

How would you like it if you were sitting across from someone in business, at dinner, or on a date and they had nasty, chipped, or uneven nails? I would be pretty turned off.

Pull your pants up, be a man, and get a manicure at your local nail salon. You may feel uncomfortable with the influx of soccer moms, you may feel feminine, you may feel many things, but believe me, no one in that nail salon cares or is really checking you out. That just may be your insecurity, plus everyone has their own shit to worry about. You know what, most chicks are going to look at you and wish their man had the balls to get a manicure.

Here are some tips for you to be aware of:

  • Your nails will be filed and shaped in either a square or oval. Go with the natural shape of your nail to ensure stronger nails.

  • Your cuticles will then be pushed back with a cuticle stick using a special cream. I don’t recommend getting your cuticles cut, however it’s common to do so.

  • Unless you’re looking for a polish which I don’t recommend, as its a bit feminine, a relaxing hand massage is a nice way to complete the service.

  • Set yourself up to get a manicure every two to three weeks. In between your visits your nails will tea’d up, allowing you to cut them at home, while they continue to look good.

  • Dont let your nails tell a story about you that doesn’t represent who you really are.
