CONSCIOUS STEP SOCKS PART II

Conscious Step was founded by three friends whose mission was to create change by taking the right steps. Each sock sold and worn supports a charitable effort. It’s like Tom’s but even closer to your foot. Step socks are made from the highest quality organic cotton and are fair trade certified.

For the next four weeks our “sock head” enthusiast and friend of PRZMAN, Morris Borenstein, has agreed to show off four styles of Conscious Step socks in an effort to tell the world about a great start-up with a conscience.

Second up, each pair of these fair trade certified socks provides two books to school children in Asia through Conscious Step’s impact partner Room to Read.

Morris, tell us why you like this sock?

The mustard yellow tones in this sock pop to the eye, something you might want at ankle level. The color combination is specific and the stripes are very tight so I wouldn’t wear these with everything. That said, they are a classic sock that you can wear with colored corduroys in winter or with dress pants. You can’t go wrong wearing navy blue pants with these socks. It’s a sure match.

And how are you wearing them?

I happen to have a shirt that has both a bold pattern and blue and yellow. I pair this with navy blue cotton dress pants that I roll up. I wear comfortable casual wingtips for my commute, but as soon as I get to work it’s back to my favorite brown wingtips. Gold colored swatch on my wrist. Because why not?

So what you up to in these socks?

I’m wearing these socks to work. These socks are more fun than the blue and pink argyle, but not too crazy. They are still a classic style that you and dad can wear. I may also wear these on a weekend with corduroys to the coffee shop.

Tell us, what are people saying?

Some brightness at ankle level. They draw eyes if you want some attention. Bolder stripes and colors will draw even more attention.
