5 Tips for Maintaining and Preserving a Shave Brush

  1. When you’re finished shaving, rinse your brush with warm water.

  2. Next, using your free hand, start squeezing (not pulling) the hairs on the brush to get out the excess shaving solution.

  3. Once you’ve squeezed the hairs, start flicking the brush to eliminate any excess product or water buildup.

  4. Always place your brush with the hair facing down in a stand, so any leftover water moves away from the base of the hairs. This prevents mildew from forming and stinking up the brush.

  5. Never place your brush in a place without air circulation, like a cabinet or a plastic bag.

PRZ TIP:
You get what you pay for, so if you buy a cheap shave brush, it’s not going to last long. If you invest in a good one, it’s definitely going to last longer. Either way, get in the habit of cleaning all your tools and taking care of them. If you take a little extra care, you’ll maintain it and can pass it down for generations to come.
