How To Work Out The Stress

Main Stress

When you’re stressed you’re tired, you feel like you’re being stretched in all directions and the last thing you would ever want to do is exert any energy. So it probably seems counter-intuitive that working out is viewed as a major stress cure.

Surprise, surprise: Exercise is one of the best ways to deal with stress.

You see, stress is purely an internal problem. While external factors like your boss or you family might cause stress, the internal workings of your body make you feel the way you do. And the best way to combat those symptoms is to start producing the chemicals the stress is inhibiting. When you exercise you release endorphins, dopamine and seratonin (among others) that actively reduce your stress.

But don’t think about taking a quick jog only when you start feeling a little stressed out (although it’ll help). The best way to keep the stress down is to regularly exercise. But wait… does the thought of exercising regularly even stress you out? Actually all you have to do is two intense workouts a week and that’ll be enough to produce the stress fighting hormones your body needs.

Two days a week too much for you? Oh, boy. Well some studies have shown that simply being more active can reduce stress. We’re talking the barest of simple activities too. Stuff like taking one flight of stairs or gardening. Even something like yoga, which preaches relaxation and stretching, is enough activity to reduce stress and relaxes the mind.

The fact of the matter is that stress is a common part of modern life. But it doesn’t have to be. You can simply work it out.
